Before henna application make sure that the skin is perfectly clean and has no pollutants. We advise you to exfoliate the skin one day prior to your henna application. This will get rid of any dead skin cells and improve application. When you have applied the henna on clean skin, it will bind better resulting in a deeper stain that will last longer.

Any kind of hand moisturizer or oil can act as a barrier between the skin and henna, not allowing it to come in contact with the skin fully. Avoid applying this before your appointment and it will be a huge help to the technician too. The technicians have their own oil that they apply on your hands to make the stain darker.
